After a stellar performance last season, Samuel Chukwueze is deservedly still dominating conversations in Villarreal. A few weeks ago, UEFA named him one of the players to watch this season, and now, Villarreal fans have voted him as the club’s best breakout player for the 2018-19 season.
The accolade, which formed part of the ‘Peña Pardals Grocs Awards‘, was presented by the Official Villarreal CF Supporters’ Club. Since there wasn’t an official list of nominees, it’s safe to say that Chukwueze must have been up against stars like Toko Ekambi, Ramiro Mori and Santi Cazorla.
Chukwueze, who is the club’s youngest 2018 arrival, continues to steal hearts with his skills across La Liga. In fact, Villarreal captain, Santi Cazorla, believes the 20-year-old can become the best in the world if he keeps improving in certain areas, and we absolutely agree.
