The 2018-19 Premier League season was fierce, but it looks like the ongoing summer transfer window is going to be even more so. Ahead of the 2019-20 season, Manchester United is currently getting a share of the heat, as fans are calling on the club to sign Wilfred Ndidi.

Man U’s news outlet on Twitter conducted a poll, asking fans to select one out of four central midfielders they think the club should sign this summer. Of the 6,315 fans that voted, 35% identified Ndidi as their top choice – and that turned out to be the highest.

If you’ve been following Ndidi’s progress at Leicester City, you’ll know that this result isn’t surprising at all. Throughout the season, the 22-year-old took the job of a central midfielder to another level – earning more accolades than any other player on the team.

This led to opinions that he needed to take on bigger challenges outside Leicester City. Now, those opinions have culminated in this poll result, and it doesn’t look like Man U fans are backing down. But then, it’s left for the club’s manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjær to make a decision.
