Wilfred Ndidi is arguably the hottest midfielder in the Premier League right now. With about one month to go until the 2018-19 campaign rounds off, the league has released player stats, and the Nigerian is credited with the highest number of tackles so far.
We’re not even surprised because just two months ago, it was revealed that Ndidi had won possession in the midfield third more times than any other player in the Premier League this season. With Leicester City enjoying a fairly good run so far, the 22-year-old isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
As at Friday, when the stats were made public, he had 109 successful tackles to his name – same as Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Now, after his club’s 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday, where he pulled off 11 tackles and five interceptions, Ndidi’s number has improved to 120.
We can’t wait to see him deliver when Leicester goes head-to-head with Huddersfield this Saturday.
