We’ve all been looking forward to Anthony Joshua’s next fight. After several reports about who his next opponent will be, The Guardian has now confirmed that American boxer, Jarrell Miller will be fighting the unified world heavyweight champion on June 1st.
When talks between Joshua and Miller’s teams reached an advanced stage, there was no arguing that the fight would take place in Madison Square Garden, New York. That means we’ll be looking forward to seeing Joshua fight outside the UK for the first time.
While the British-Nigerian is coming to the fight with a clean sheet of 22 fights and 22 wins, Miller brags of 24 fights, 23 wins and one draw. So, at the end of the day, it’s an equal footing for both boxers but, looking at it closely, it’s clear that Joshua has everything to lose.
The 29-year-old currently holds three of the four major championships in boxing, and this upcoming showdown means he’ll be defending his titles against a boxer who currently has no world title to his name. You already know who we’ll be rooting for.
