The Fuji Musician Association of Nigeria (FUMAN) has been thrown into mourning as death struck and hit one of their own in the evening of Wednesday, February 17th, 2021.
The deceased, Alhaji Taofeek Adeyinka popularly known as Tobacco was until his sudden death, the Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of FUMAN and a vibrant artiste within the Ogun State entertainment circle.
According to one of the neighbours to the very jovial singer, Mr. Morufu Omolaja Ajisegiri who saw him in the early hours of the Wednesday that he died, Tobacco never showed any sign of illness as he still observed the early morning prayer Muslims observe, Subhi, in the neighbourhood Mosque on the fateful day.
“Alhaji Taofeek (a.k.a. Tobacco) observed 10 rakat nafilat after Subhi prayer today (17/2/21). We observed the prayer together. We greeted, we discussed and returned to our houses without any sign (of) illness. May the Almighty Allah grant him Aljanat Fridaos. Amin.” The neighbour recounted the deceased last moments.
May God grant his family and the Fuji music industry at large the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
