A few months ago, Falana released her first single in four years, “Ride Or Die“, which served as a taste of what to expect from her upcoming EP, Chapter One. Now, as the release date nears, she has given fans yet another taste of the project with her newly released single, “Repeat”.
While fans wondered what she was doing during her four-year hiatus, Falana was busy perfecting her craft and improving herself as an artist. Confident with her ability, she is finally ready to give us new music, and from her latest releases, her artistic growth is abundantly clear.
On “Repeat”, Falana confidently sings about being set in her ways, regardless of what the naysayers have to say about it. In her usual fashion, the lyrics are emotive, and her beautiful voice makes the message resonate even better.
The accompanying video takes a retrospective filter, casting its focus back to revolutionary times. In the spirit of Women’s History Month, the video pays keen attention to the accomplishments of women, especially at times when female emancipation was in dire straits.
