Coronavirus: Singer Simi says fear strategy needs to be employed

Popular Nigerian singer Simisola Ogunleye has taken to social media to share her thoughts on what to do to get Nigerians to take the coronavirus pandemic seriously. She stated that everything should be shut down.

The singer shared a post on the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, talking about the pandemic. Simi noted that fear strategy needs to be employed to get Nigerians to take the virus seriously.

According to the singer, the only thing Nigerians respect more than religion is fear. She said fear is the only thing that would get people to shut everything down.

The singer stated that the shut down should happen now not later. Nigerians reacted to Simi’s statement with their own thoughts.

They all shared mixed reactions to her statement on the platform. Some people agreed with her while others stated that Nigerians do not have the means to shut everything down.
