Coach Aliyu Zubair has thrown in the towel as handler of Wikki Tourists owing to the club’s breach of agreement,.

The former Kwara United and Akwa United coach told Futbalgalore.com that his decision to quit the Giant Elephants stands and would not rescind it.

“My time with Wikki Tourists is over and I have written my resignation letter hinting about my desire to leave.

“I cannot continue in a club where my contractual agreement has been breached. I was told necessary things that would make my work successful would be provided but till now none was kept,” Zubair explained.

The Kwara born gaffer quit the role this evening after one season in charge of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side.

“I’m proud of what we have achieved and I have no doubt that the squad now, who look very much like men who know exactly what they must do, are very capable of performing well.

“I know I have given everything to Wikki Tourists; I have given my heart and soul to the job and I have been happy to do this because of the wonderful support I have received from the players and fans, who are truly amazing,” he said.
