“Youth are becoming relevant at all level of governance, mine a call to serve” ~ Ekezie Johnbosco

As plenary began today at the Imo state house of Assembly with the state in high optimism with the list of nominated commissioners submitted to the Speaker by the Executive Governor of the state, HE, Emeka Ihedioha earlier in the week.

The spirit in and around the assembly was seasoned with euphoria of hope as Imolites trooped to the complex to witness a landmark event having the youngest commissioner in government anchored by the mandate of Ihedioha to prioritize youth inclusivity in his administration.

High point at the chambers was that moment all at the gallery were waiting for, the most talked about Johnbosco, a 36year old who is rumored to be allotted the Youth and Sports development portfolio, emerged as ushered in by the sergeant at arms; at a point protocol was breached when the audience at the gallery altered the house rule that forbids ‘clapping’ during plenary…and it roared.

He attended to questions with utmost calm and sort after composure to admiration of house members and audience at the gallery.

One of his words at the hallow chambers that triggered the spontaneous applause was…“…many youth are becoming relevant at all level of governance, mine is a call to serve…”

He also added, “Practical and aggressive awareness on the consequences of drug abusive on our future – the youth – must be immediately carried out to transition the abuse to normalcy ”

Commenting on Imo state internal generated revenue, He came with an excellent response commending Gov. Ihedioha for assenting to the TSA policy with the view that it is the right decision in the right direction.

Many adjudged his outing as a tremendous hope for the teeming youths of Imo state, saying the young man is well cultured and has a high sense for pragmatic leadership.
