Yesterday, DJ Snake shared the tracklist for his sophomore album, Carte Blanche, revealing a Burna Boy feature. Well, the album is finally here, and the Burna Boy-assisted “No Option” — a standout off the project — finds the afro-fusion star showing off his versatility.

The French DJ and producer, best known for his Lil Jon-assisted monster hit, “Turn Down For What”, enlisted an impressive roster for this project, with Burna Boy appearing alongside huge stars like Cardi B, J Balvin, 21 Savage, Offset, Tyga and Selena Gomez.

The impressively produced “No Option” is built on a shockingly seamless confluence of reggae and EDM, making for a very exciting listen. On the track, Burna Boy laments about the hardships of life, pointing out all the harsh realities people are facing today

As for the rest of the album, DJ Snake shuffles between genres — gliding from r&b to hip-hop to dancehall — with considerable ease. Like the album’s title suggests, the Grammy nominee allowed himself the freedom to explore, and the result is one of the year’s most expansive projects.
