Victor Boniface can’t hide his excitement after making his UEFA Champions League debut for Bayer Leverkusen.

The Bundesliga champions defeated their hosts Feyenoord 4-0 at the Stadion Feijnoord, Rotterdam on Thursday night.

Boniface was in action for 63 minutes before he was replaced by Patrick Schick.

The 23-year-old was a thorn in the flesh of the opposition defence despite not scoring in the game.

The Nigeria international recounted his early days in Akure where he used to watch Champions League game on television.
