Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy has responded to the recent criticism from fellow artist, Brymo.
In a post shared on his Instagram story, Burna Boy implied that detractors will say anything to target someone of his stature, referring to himself as “the KING.”
The musician dismissed Brymo’s remarks by suggesting that he is just a “madman” singing Yoruba proverb music for the streets.
Burna Boy then referenced other influential Yoruba musicians, K1 and Saheed Osupa, implying that they had paved the way for artists like Brymo.
He wrote, “At this point they do and say Anything to get at the KING. Werey dey sing Yoruba proverb music for us When K1 and Saheed Osupa dem still dey carry us trabaye.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Brymo said he would rather go to hell than join the record label of Wizkid, Burna Boy or Davido.
