Former President Muhammadu Buhari; the Vice President, Kashim Shettima; the Speaker, House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas; were among the dignitaries who graced the wedding of Mohammed, the first son of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, in Maiduguri on Saturday.
The wedding fatiha was held at the Maiduguri Central Mosque at the palace of Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkanemi.
Buhari stood for the groom, while Shettima stood for the bride during the wedding.
Also, 12 gold coins were paid as bride price by the groom.
Other dignitaries at the wedding included the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; governors Dikko Radda, Mai Mala Buni, Umar Namadi, Inuwa Yahaya, Dauda Lawal and Ahmadu Fintiri of Katsina, Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe, Zamfara and Adamawa states.
Also present were the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak; the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and some former governors and ex-ministers.
