Ladipoe Drops An Impressive New Freestyle, ‘Devil You Need’

As any rapper will tell you, freestyles are an important part of the game. So, of course, our favourite rapper, Ladipoe fills his Soundcloud page with tons of them. Yesterday, he dropped another impressive entry, “Devil You Need”, along with a candid video.

Excellently produced by Yazidxo and HonterOnTheBeat, “Devil You Need” begins with a sound bite of a girl narrating an incident in which she was described as a Yoruba demon. Ladipoe then comes in to assert that that isn’t such a bad thing, because sometimes we need a baddie. 

Comparing himself to other great rappers preceding him, from 2 Pac to Da Grin, Ladipoe asserts that he is the future of rap. The freestyle is accompanied by some iPhone footage of fellow musicians and industry personalities jiving to the track, released in full on the rapper’s IGTV.
