A few weeks ago, American popstar, Becky G released her third single of the year, “Next To You” — a catchy dancehall-meets-EDM collaboration with Digital Farm Animals and Rvssian. Now, she’s given the song an upgrade, enlisting Davido for the remix, “Next To You Part II”

Davido has been on a roll in the past two years, and he has been vital in taking the Nigerian sound to the global stage. His increased popularity has now afforded him the ability to introduce his core audience to artists they might not have heard of before, such as Becky G.

Speaking about why she chose Davido for this collaboration, Becky G said:

“If I could’ve chosen anyone to join this track, it was Davido. I’ve been a massive fan of the afropop vibe for a minute now, so when I heard that Davido was bringing his flow to the record, I was very stoked”

“Next to You Part II” is a breezy, tropical tune, where the singer flaunts her versatility as a bilingual artist. Davido joins her for a solid verse, doing some of his strongest guest work. Against an infectious beat, produced by Rvssian, the pair shine as they demand t0 be closer to their lovers.
