Damson Idris is one of the busiest young actors working today, and he shows no signs of slowing down. After shining in the most acclaimed episode of Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone reboot, the British-Nigerian actor’s now set to appear in the new season of Netflix’s Black Mirror.
The fifth season of the sci-fi anthology series just got an exciting new trailer and a June 5 release date. It’s also revealed that instead of a six-episode season, like we’ve been getting since Netflix picked it up, this new installment has been trimmed back down to just three.
According to the trailer, the season, much like those that came before it, will explore how technology affects different aspects of our life. Love, privacy, connection, sex, family, work and the afterlife are just some of the issues the trailer hints that this season will tackle.
Starring alongside Damson Idris is an expectedly stacked cast that includes Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana), Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Endgame) Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman), Topher Grace (BlacKkKlansman), Andrew Scott (Sherlock) and many more.
