Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Bakulipanam Percy Paul Mokungah, widely known by his stage name, Panam Percy Paul, has dedicated his new album, ‘I will not deny Jesus’ to Leah Sharibu on her 16th birthday.
Sharibu is one of the 110 students abducted from Government Girls Technical Science College, Dapchi, Yobe State by the Al Barnawi faction of Boko Haram on February 19, 2018.
She was 14 when she was abducted and is currently marking her 16th birthday while still in Boko Haram captivity.
Panam Percy Paul’s musical career spans 40 years. He was born to major Paul Harley, an officer in the Nigerian Army, and composer Paulina Paul Mokungah in 1957. Both of his parents are of the Lutheran Church. Paul’s kind of music is praise and worship styled in the feel of country music and African high life.
