Watch The Colourful Video For Show Dem Camp & Flash’s ‘Tropicana’

Last year, Show Dem Camp released their most star-studded project, Palmwine Music 2. Now, after dropping a whole other body of work, they’ve brought our attention back to that gem by dropping a vibrant video for one of its standout tracks, the Flash-assisted “Tropicana”.

In usual SDC fashion, “Tropicana” is a cool and mellow song, where Flash impresses and Ghost steals the show with his impeccable penmanship. Throughout the song, each artist speaks about courting a girl, explaining all the reasons they belong with the girl of their dreams. 

Speaking to Konbini about the song, SDC said: 

“It’s just celebrating beautiful girls all over the world. We need more song like that because too many rap songs dehumanise and belittle the status and incredible power of black women.”

For the accompanying music video, all three stars take to a beach in Lagos, surrounded by beautiful women. The clip was shot in the exact kind of setting you’d expect the breezy song to be played at, and that ends up making the track even more enjoyable to listen to.
