One of the officers in charge of the recruitment portal at Customs’ headquarters, Abuja, told NAN that “as at 4pm, the applications of 91,000 applicants were successfully received.”
The anonymous officer also said applications were also received from some Nigerians in the diaspora.
Nigeria Customs Service in its 2019 recruitment, hopes to employ 3,200 officers into the service.
According to the Acting Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs in charge of Human Resources Department, Umar Sanusi, 800 officers would be recruited to fill vacancies in the Support Staff for Superintendent Cadre Category, and 2,400 would fill that of Customs Inspector and Customs Assistant Cadre in the General Duty Categories.
