After a long wait, we’ve finally gotten our first look at Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The exciting teaser dropped over the weekend, and we caught a glimpse of British-Nigerian actor, John Boyega reprising his career-defining role as the charming and funny Finn.
The late Carrie Fisher will still appear in the movie as Princess Leia, using previously unseen footage from The Force Awakens. Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Joonas Suotamo, Keri Russell, and Richard E. Grant also star, along with Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.
The Rise of Skywalker will be third installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, following The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, and the ninth and final episode of the main Star Wars film franchise. The movie will be released in December 2019, as per Star Wars tradition.
