Ukraine warns Nigerian students on illegal foreign schools

The Ukrainian Ambassador to Nigeria, Valeri Aleksandruk, responding to a letter from the Ukraine Ministry of Health on the status of a medical university in the home country, warned Nigeria students aspiring to study medicine in any university in the home country to ensure that the institution is registered and has full accreditation.

Aleksandruk laying emphasis on a letter from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health to the Nigerian Government which conveyed that the Ukraine Government cannot guarantee the quality of education delivered to both Ukrainian and foreign students by the Odessa National Medical University.

The Ambassador advised the Nigerian Ministry of Education on how to consolidate the bilateral relations between the two countries in exchange of information on education and other matters.

Ambassador Aleksandruk confirmed that there are over 4,000 Nigerian students studying in various universities in Ukraine.
