President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his condolences to Chief (Arc) Isaac Folayan Alade’s family and friends upon his death.

President Buhari lauded Alade, saying that his stamp on the country’s renowned structures will inspire future architects from within and outside the country, leaving a legacy of genius and diligence.

The President joins the Nigerian Institute of Architects, the Royal Institute of British Architects, and the Architects’ Registration Council of the United Kingdom in mourning the first architect to serve as a Permanent Secretary in Nigeria, as well as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Federal University of Port Harcourt’s Governing Council.

He expressed his condolences to the government and people of Ekiti State, believing that Chief Alade’s contributions to the country’s development in design, construction, and administration, particularly historic structures such as the National Stadium Lagos, Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Federal Secretariat Lagos, and Nigerian Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, will be remembered by posterity.
