In Bauchi State, a new cholera outbreak has killed at least 20 people in different regions of the state.
According to reports, 322 people have been affected with the sickness.
During a press conference on Tuesday morning, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Aliyu Mohammed Maigoro, provided an update on the situation.
Since the first case was reported in April, he said, the disease has spread to nine local government regions.
The index instance, according to the Commissioner, was a 37-year-old patient admitted to Burra General Hospital on April 24, 2021.
