Victor Moses made an assist in his first start for Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League on Tuesday in their 1-0 first leg round of 32 win over Zenit St. Petersburg reports Completesports.com.
The game was played two days early for security reasons to avoid Fenerbache fans clashing with Istanbul rival Galatasaray hosting Benfica on Thursday.
On-loan Leicester forward Slimani struck in the 21st minute after being set up by Moses from a corner-kick
Zenit squandered a chance to equalise before half-time when Robert Mak’s penalty was saved by Harun Tekin.
The 28-year-old, Moses was subbed off in the 85th minute for Alper Potuk in his fourth appearance for the club since he joined on an 18 months loan deal.
Following his arrival in Istanbul from Chelsea in January, Moses has featured thrice in the Turkish Super Lig as a second-half substitute and has a goal to his credit.
The return leg takes place on February 21.
