Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha

A former Secretary to the Imo State Government, Chris Okewulonu, has said that the emergence of Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party as the state governor-elect has ended tyranny, Punch has reported.

He said, greed, nepotism, lawlessness, land grabbing and suppression would no longer have a place in the state.

The PDP chief said, “Ihedioha, known for his knack for hard work and dexterity in public service, will recover and rebuild the state already left in ruins by Okorocha.”

“Ihedioha is experienced, hardworking, selfless and has the capacity to revive Imo. That is the cheering news. Imo is indeed liberated.

“As Ihedioha’s campaign’s Director-General in 2015, we tried to let the people know what the state stands to benefit from Ihedioha’s leadership then, but enemies of democracy scuttled our efforts.

“I am happy that now, Imo people have appreciated our message of liberation, recovery and rebuilding of the state as well as the need to safeguard her from the hands of the oppressors of the people and economic plunderers.”

Okewulonu assured the people that the incoming administration in the state will restore the lost glory of the state.
