We Might Be Getting A Tiwa Savage & Simi Collaboration Soon

There’s no doubting the fact that Tiwa Savage and Simi are two of the most celebrated female artists we have in the industry today. Both thriving in their respective genres, it looks like they’re looking to collaborate soon, and we’re all the way here for it.

On Twitter, Simi congratulated Tiwa when she announced that she will be performing at Wireless this year – a feat that hasn’t been achieved by any other female afropop artist – and in response to that, Tiwa asked when they’ll be hitting the studio together.

As rife as it is for men in the Nigerian music industry to work together – with a bunch of them even dropping impressive collaborative projects – this is, unfortunately, not the case amongst the women, as female collaborations are very few and far between.

Thankfully, things have been slowly changing , as we’ve recently had a bunch of female collaborations, from Yemi Alade & Waje to Tiwa Savage & Di’ja. But we’re certain none of those team-ups will compare to the magic Simi and Tiwa will surely create.
