Osun state Governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, has applauded the citizens of the state for voting for the All Progressives Congress in the just concluded 2019 general elections where about 22 members were elected to represent the state constituencies.
Owing to this development, the governor assured the people dividends of democracy that will touch the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Governor stated this on Monday, at the residence of the former Governor of the state, Chief Bisi Akande, in Ila, where a victory party was held for all the elected lawmakers of APC both in the state and the National Assembly.
The governor said the victory will make it easier for him to deliver democracy dividends to the people, as most of the elected lawmakers from the state are under one political party which is APC which will aid quick progress for the state.
The overwhelming victory of APC candidates at the state House of Assembly election held on Saturday is an attestation to earlier victory at the guber poll held in the state last year.
The APC had won 22 seats out of the 25 Assembly seats so far declared by INEC, won 6 out of 9 House of Representatives elective positions and 2 out of 3 Senatorial district we have in the state.
Those present at the event are, Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Benedict Alabi, APC party Chairman, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, and all Osun All Progressives Congress elected candidates for National and state Assembly.
