Abuja: Police go after mob for burning ‘one-chance robbers’ to death

The FCT Police Command has condemned the killing of three suspected one-chance robbers by an angry mob at Dutse Alhaji on Monday morning.

They were burnt to death by the mob following an alarm raised by their yet to be identified victim.

DSP Anjuguri Manzah, FCT Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement condemned the act

It assured that those who perpetrated the act would be fished out.

“The Commissioner of Police FCT has ordered a discreet investigation into the unfortunate incident”, the spokesman added.

“While reassuring the public of its unwavering commitment to fight one chance robbery and reduce the crime to its barest minimum, the Command enjoins the public to be security-conscious and report all suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police formation or contact the Command Control Room on the following Police emergency numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.”
