Insecurity: FG to install CCTVs along highways, monitor bushes using aerodrones

As part of measures to address issues of insecurity in Nigeria, President Buhari today announced plans by his government to install CCTVs strategically along highways and monitor forests as well as bushes using aerodrones.

The President disclosed this when he received the Ooni of Ife,  Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, and other monarchs from the South West in his office in Abuja today July 31st.

The Ooni of Ife who led the delegation to the state house, told newsmen after the meeting that the President gave an assurance that the entire security architecture of the country would be restructured. The Ooni mentioned that the South West monarchs suggested that community policing will reduce the security issues confronting the nation.

According to him, traditional rulers and not politicians will assist the police recruit officers from within the community who understand the terrain in order to avert tension in the southwest.

Reacting to calls for Fulanis to vacate the region, the Ife monarch said it is only criminal minded fulani herdsmen in the region that have been asked to leave.
