Earlier today 12/07/2019 there was a viral post of the Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, infuriated by the airing of the 2019 edition of the Big Brother Naija Reality Show, has petitioned President Buhari to shut it down immediately.

In a press statement issued by its Director, Professor Ishaq Akintola, the Muslim group labeled the reality show as  ‘immoral, dangerous and Bohemian’ and also wondered why the Ministry of Information and Culture and the National Orientation Agency are on sabbatical over the show.

Singer Sunnymackson reacts thus. The bigbrother NAIJA TV show is supposed to be a platform for young Nigerians to showcase what they have got, a platform to show their everyday lives whereby viewers should have something to learn, about living with people from diverse backgrounds.
The situation with the current bigbrother NAIJA show is about nudity, arrogance, sexual display and all sorts of immoral vices.

Though it is rated 18+ but, such program shouldn’t be encouraged in Nigeria.
