Rotimi Makinde Eulogises Aregbesola @ 62, Says I’m Emotionally Indebted To Ogbeni

A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rotimi Makinde has felicitated with the immediate past governor of Osun state, Alhaji Rauf Aregbesola on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary.

In a birthday tribute made available on Friday by the former federal lawmaker, he said he is emotionally indebted to the former Governor.

Makinde, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress said, “apart from being the very man who commissioned me into politics, I was one of the very few converts  of his ideology and his die hard lieutenants who blindly  journeyed with him to Osun State by train when it was full of uncertainties. Till today, I still cannot find answer to why I left a very lucrative job  of Accountant in NNPC to the very murky waters of politics to answer the  communal call of my people as sold to me by Aregbesola  when indeed we were to face a “Mogadishu returnee”fully  in power.

“I have no regret anyway and I will continue to appreciate God through him  and for being part of his success story today. We came, we saw and  conquered. Only a hater or envier will not appreciate Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for those wonderful jobs he did which are being copied today even by the federal government.

“The transformation of the state capital to an enviable tourist site is just one of his many achievements. Osun indeed is now a proud state in many ways. Without exaggeration, Ogbeni Adesoji Rauf Aregbesola will go down in history as an excellent  performer and the very foundation of a better tomorrow.

“He has invested in the like of me and many and  we can’t but to continue to remain emotionally indebted to him for we learn from his pot of wisdom and we shall  continue to do only those things that will endeared him as a good mentor.

“The birthday of a great man like this
brings joy  excitement and passion into our lives, especially when they are celebrated with plenty of good references. I wish my mentor plenty of joy and for  every day of the coming years ! You are such  a fantastic example of wisdom, leadership, and foresight. On your birthday, I wish you peace, good  health, and happiness. You are the best mentor anyone could have asked for.”
