CP Vows To Prosecute Persons Who Tore INEC Result Sheets In Imo State

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi on Monday said that the command would prosecute those who tore result sheets at collation centre in Owerri.

The CP who addressed journalists at INEC collation centre said that the three persons identified have been arrested and would face the wrath of the law.

He said that the security agencies were on top of the security situation in the state.

On his part, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Francis Ezeonu said that he was not under any pressure to release any result.

He said that despite the fight that ensued at the collation centre which led to party agents tearing results sheets, collation would still go on.
