Veteran Nigerian Galala singer, John Asiemo popularly known as Daddy Showkey, has narrated how he was left to suffer for years after his 2007 car accident, which ended his career.
The singer was involved in a ghastly accident while coming from Olu Maintain’s birthday party.

According to the talented singer, after the advise from the doctors he was neglected by his friends and partners whom he once helped.
He insisted his friends would deny him an entrance into their house, adding that he had to engage in a bricklaying job just to feed his family as he noted that he was mocked by people.
He said: “When I come back, the people wen go come meet me, I go dash the millions, when I go their house, them go tell their gateman make them lock gate, make the gateman tell me say dem nor dey.”
Known for popularising the ‘Galala’ song and dance step, Daddy Showkey was a major star in the 1990s and is credited with hit songs like ‘Diana,’ ‘Fire Fire’ and ‘Ghetto Soldier.’
He was popular in Ajegunle.
