The Commissioner for Health in Lagos State, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has confirmed twenty-three new cases of Coronavirus in the state.
The Commissioner revealed the development in a post on his Twitter account on Sunday. Following the announcement, the number of cases in the state now stands at 309.
Prof. Abayomi tweeted, “23 new #COVID19 cases confirmed in Lagos State.”
“The total number of confirmed #COVID19 cases in Lagos is now 309.”
“4 COVID19 patients were discharged as at 18th of April bringing the total discharged cases to [email protected]”
Recall that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on a Saturday confirmed 49 new COVID-19 cases in the country.
The new cases were identified in Lagos, FCT, Kano, Ogun, Oyo, and the Ekiti States.
The number of confirmed cases in Nigeria now stands at 542.
