President Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari Dies Weeks After Testing Positive For Coronavirus

, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, has died more than two weeks after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr , announced Mr Kyari’s on Twitter at 12:44 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

, the special assistant on media and publicity to President Buhari, said Kyari died of Coronavirus con Friday.

, the Personal Assistant on New Media to President Buhari, also confirmed the passing of the former Chief of Staff.

KanyiDaily recalls that on March 24, 2020, Abba Kyari tested positive for coronavirus after he visited Germany in early March.

The presidency did not deny or confirm the rumours at the time following speculations about his whereabouts. It was only after his death that Shehu confirmed that the former chief of staff had died of coronavirus on Friday.
