Seventeen new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre Disease Control (NCDC). The fresh cases were confirmed on Friday evening in a tweet by the NCDC.

President Muhammadu Buhari says the Presidential Task Force on Control of COVID-19 has briefed him on the outbreak of Coronavirus in Nigeria. Naija News reports that the President made this statement on Friday evening after meeting the Presidential Task Force on Control of COVID-19 at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.

The Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has released the names of 13 Nigerians who died from coronavirus (COVID-19) abroad. The chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, published the names in a video on Twitter on Thursday.
