It is now affecting 209 countries and territories in the world has crippled business, social and sporting activities.
According to the LIVE updates on the worldometer, there are more fatalities among elderly persons and diabetic patients than the middle-aged.
The United States of America remains the worst-hit country with over 425,769 cases, 14,604 deaths, and 22,202 recoveries.
Spain follows with 146, 690 confirmed cases, 14,673 deaths and 48,021 recoveries.
Nigeria currently has 276 confirmed cases, with 6 deaths and 44 recoveries.
