Enugu Governor Celebrates Birthday With Crowd Amid Coronavirus
The Enugu state Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has been called out on social media for celebrating his birthday with a crowd amidst the coronavirus scare across the country.
In a video that surfaced on social media, the governor and some people could be seen in a celebration mood as they sang birthday tunes to mark his birthday.
The governor is however called out for not observing social distancing as publicized across all media in the country.
Popularly known as ‘Gburu Gburu’, Ifeanyi was 1st elected executive governor of Enugu State under the People’s Democratic Party PDP in April 2015. He was a member of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for 12years.
The governor hails from Orba Town in Udenu Local Government Area of Nsukka Zone in Enugu state. He holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Business Administration from University of Nigeria Nsukka.
Before joining politics, Gov. Ugwuanyi was the general manager of Premier Insurance Brokers Limited Enugu and has also been the president of the Rotary Club of Emene in Enugu State.
