
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced today that four new cases of COVID 19 popularly known as Corona Virus have been confirmed in the country.
The NCDC made this known via its Twitter account in the early hours of Sunday, March 22, 2020. The latest case has been confirmed in Oyo State.
The 3 new cases earlier announced this morning are from Lagos and had travel history to high-risk countries in the last 7 days.

As at 08:05 am on the 22nd of March, there are 26 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria

This brings the total number of COVID 19 cases to 26 in Nigeria with 2 patients discharged. There have been no recorded deaths of the coronavirus in Nigeria since February 27 when an Italian man tested positive to the novel virus.
The Italian index patient was discharged on Friday, March 20, 2020.
