The Sunday morning tragedy that shock a community in Lagos killing many, injuring many and causing damages worth billions – may not be the result of a pipeline explosion as reported by the federal government. This is following preliminary investigations by 247ureports.com.

According to the NNPC boss, M. Kyari, the pipeline explosion was the result of a spark around the pipeline in tandem with a leaking gas line – that resulted in a volatile reaction. This was the official statement of the NNPC. But when 247ureports.com questioned the NNPC boss on the cause of the spark, the NNPC failed to respond.

247ureports.com also turned to the DSS spokesman, Peter Afunaya PhD concerning the cause of the explosion. The question of whether the explosion was caused by foul play was posed to him. Also, an unverified video recording showing a piece of debris recovered at the explosion site was brought to the attention of the DSS spokesman. The piece of debris is suspected to be a bomb debris used for the explosion.

The video revelation comes amidst suspicion by residents of Lagos who reside within the vicinity of the explosion of the explosion being a bomb explosion even after the security operatives stated it was not a terrorist attack. Many of the eyewitnesses who visited the explosion site told 247ureports.com the nature of explosion was “too jolting” and the impact was “massive” – that it could not have been a mere pipeline explosion.

The majority of the effected were Christian school children and church goers.

One of the eyewitness recalled that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Tukur Buratai had revealed that they have received credible intelligence that Boko Haram had already arrived Lagos – and are planning attacks on Lagos.

Interestingly, Buratai had made the statement on February 12, 2020 following an embarrassing attack by Boko Haram on Borno State on February 9, 2020 where 30 people were killed. Buratai stated that along with Lagos, other regions in Nigeria were not safe.

The Lagos State government in acknowledging Buratai’s revelations indicated that the State Government were already aware of the Boko Haram arrival into the State. The Governor revealed that the recent ban on motorcycle operators [Okada] was based on the intelligence received from the Nigeria security agencies. The Lagos State government mentioned that they received the information in December 2019.

247ureports.com reached out to the Nigerian Police through the national spokesman, Frank Mba concerning the perforation of Boko Haram agents into the many parts of the country. Frank Mba did not respond.

Meanwhile, the Ekiti Government signed into law the Amotekun security outfit today. It was signed today by the Governor. Other south west States have already signed the same version of the Amotekun into law.
