Rich people are reportedly rushing to buy designer grave plots at Hollywoods Forever Cemetary due to coronavirus pandemic which has claimed millions of lives around the world within a short period of time.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles, California, United States.
According to TMZ, rich people living in hollywood are dropping wads of cash to buy pre-death plots and secure a spot at the grave yard where more than 200 celebrities are resting in peace.
Co-Founder of the cemetary, Yogu Kanthiah told TMZ: “Never seen anything like this before. It’s crazy”.
According to Kanthiah, customers have sent in large amount of money, ordering their pre-death grave plots in the VIP section of the cemetary.
“It’s similar to people going to Costco — they don’t need all the toilet paper and sanitizer, but they’re buying it anyway,” Kanthiah added.
According to the report, current rates for cremation at Hollywood Forever near legends like Judy Garland or punk god Johnny Ramone, is expensive.
Example is a crypt in the grave yard which costs around $7,000 and balloons to $19,000 for a prime position in the cemetery’s VIP section along the lakeside property, named Garden of Legends.
