President Muhammadu Buhari may have on Monday responded to the rising insecurity and the associated tension in the country when he held a special meeting with Service Chiefs and the Inspector-General of Police at the State House, Abuja.
The meeting was said to be held at the council chamber. Details of the meeting were not disclosed but President Buhari had at the weekend assured that the Boko Haram terrorism in the northeast which has been tormenting residents of several communities will be terminated within some weeks.
Those at the meeting included the Chief of Defence of Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant Tukur Yusuf Buratai; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok Ekwe Ibas; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar and Inspector General of Police, Mohammad Adamu.
