It was bloodbath when herdsmen invaded Shuwa-Kala’a community in Adamawa State and massacred residents, razing down houses.

A report indicated that the locals narrated that herdsmen have been invading that terrorizing their territory since the beginning of the harvest season in the northeast Nigeria.

Many were left dead father the Saturday invasion and massacre of the residents in Shuwa-Kala’a. They were said to be helpless at the time of the invasion and were mere preys to their slaughters who struck with sophisticated weapons.

A resident was, however, reported to have disclosed that the military had intervened, adding that the people are only hopeful the military can overwhelm the herdsmen and repel them.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Adamawa Police Command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, was said to have acknowledged not being aware of the invasion and pogrom but needed time to confirm from the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of the area.
