Teaming up with Fokn Bois, the Ghanaian duo known for being daring and controversial, the talented Mr Eazi is back with another solid collaborative effort, “True Friends”, a track that lauds appreciative fans and castigates fair-weather friends.
The song, produced by King Stunn, starts mildly before picking up, as Mr Eazi makes his presence known with his signature line, “Zagadat”. From there, “True Friends” is an upbeat, lively and fun tune, as the boys use witty lyrics to assert their disdain for fake friends.
On the track, Mr Eazi and Fokn Bois question where their real friends are, criticising those who are only around for the good times. On the chorus, they posit that their fans are their real friends, as they ride for them in ways that their so-called-friends don’t.
“True Friends” is the second single off their upcoming album, Afrobeats LOL, set to drop on February 22.
