The Department of State Services (DSS) is yet to release the convener of RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, despite fulfilling his bail conditions.
KanyiDaily recalls that Justice Taiwo Taiwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja, had ordered the release of Sowore after denying the application by the DSS to extend his stay in detention.
The judge, as part of bail conditions, asked Sowore to drop his passport with the court within 48 hours.
Sowore had since fulfilled the bail condition as directed by the court and also served the copy of affidavit of compliance to the DSS through his lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN).
However, despite fulfilling his bail conditions of his client since morning, the DSS is yet to release him. His lawyer, Falana was also prevented from seeing him (Sowore).
In a telephone conversation with newsmen, Mr. Falana explained that no reason has been given by the agency for its failure to comply with the court order delivered on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.
