A High Court sitting in Osogbo, capital of Osun State on Thursday ordered the state police command to pay a sum of #3million each to a PDP chieftain, Alhaji Fatai Diekola and two others as damages and infringement of their human right.
The court sitting led by Hon. Justice A.O Ayoola also ordered the Police to place public apology in Nigeria major newspapers.
Speaking with newsmen, the Defendant Lawyer, Barrister Bukola Onifade commended the Judiciary for standing firm to defend the right of the oppressed in the country.
Amiloaded Media Hub recalled that Alhaji Fatai Diekola was arrested together with two others and were illegally detained on September 24th, 2018 for alleged assault on some APC members at Alekuwodo ahead of the Governorship rerun held on 27th of September, 2018.
