A female student of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, who was captured on camera with a bloodshot eye, has revealed that she sustained the eye injury while being assaulted and brutalized by some policemen because she refusing to have sex with them.
Earlier, a video has been circulating the social media showing about four policemen who appeared unconcerned about the plight of a young lady who was seen with blood dripping from her eyes while she kept saying “look at my eyes”.
The young lady in the video who identified her self as Sheba Ogbu, a student of FUTA, revealed that she was assaulted by those policemen and injured in the eye because to have sex with them.
According to her, the incident happened at about 9:30pm on Monday along Oyemekun Road in Akure, when she was coming from the church.
Ogbu said when she was coming from church, some policemen in their patrol van accosted her. They questioned her on where she was coming from, searched her bag and found nothing incriminating on her.
She disclosed that when they could not pin anything on her, the four security operatives asked her to follow them to a place where they would have sex with her.
According to her, she refused their advances and that was what infuriated the policemen, adding that they began to beat her and smashed her head on a stone.
The undergraduate and her family have threatened to sue the Nigeria Police Force for the assault.
