The Foreign Ministry will submit to US and German authorities information on how their diplomats and media interfere in Russia’s internal affairs by reporting on unauthorized demonstrations in Moscow.
We are aware of the acts of the US Embassy, actively involved in the organization of the demonstration, in both the closed (secret) and open formats, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told the state TV station Rossia-1.
She noted that she would refer to the closed format in another time, and was speaking now about the open version, in which the US Embassy published a detailed itinerary of the opposition march and continuously called to participate in it.
Zakharova recalled that 90 percent of the information on the protest provided by the US diplomatic mission was linked to the calls to participate in the demonstration.
She added that the German TV station Deutsche Welle (DW) even called on Muscovites, above all, to stage demonstrations downtown. ‘Moscow, take to the streets’, the DW repeated on several occasions, the spokeswoman denounced.
DW, funded by the German State, participated in the campaign to call an opposition protest in front of Parliament, in downtown Moscow, Zakharova underlined.
She went on to say that the US Embassy was very active, after it learned about the consequences of the protests, including criticisms of the police’s handling.
The US leadership will be shocked when it learns how its diplomats and media interfere in the internal affairs of Russia, which has been accused by Washington of interfering in the elections in that country, Zakharova commented.
