Listen To Victor AD Shine On Thoughtful Debut Project, ‘Red Eye’

After the success of his breakout hit, “Wetin We Gain”, Victor AD followed up with the Davido-assisted “Tire You” and the politically conscious “Why”. Now, in a bid to show off even more of what he’s capable of, the rising star has come through with his debut project, Red Eye.

With every single release, Victor AD has proven himself to be a very thoughtful musician, as he always has deep and pertinent messages behind each song. Well, he certainly keeps that same energy on this EP, which is made up of seven introspective songs.

Throughout Red Eye, Victor AD reflects on where he is at this time in his life — from his love life to his mental health — presenting himself as a young man who is simply trying to right his wrongs and make a good name for himself. 

Speaking about the EP, the “Wetin We Gain” singer said: 

“Red Eye the EP is dedicated and made for all the ghetto kids out there. I might appear ugly on the outside, but trust me I  am very pretty within. Let all the scars and the struggles you’ve been through motivate you.”

We don’t really get a lot of meaningful songs out of Nigerian artists, and this makes Victor AD’s music really stand out. In addition, he manages to get listeners thinking, while also making them want to turn up — a feat that will always be impressive.
