Last year, M.I dropped his star-studded playlist, Rendezvous, which featured everyone from Odunsi to Falz. Well, it seems the Chocolate City boss is looking to redirect our attention back to the project, as he’s just dropped a video for one of the standouts, “Playlist“, featuring Nonso Amadi.
Against a cool and mellow beat, mastered by GMK and produced by Nonso Amadi himself, the singer starts things off with an impressive verse, where he wears his heart on his sleeve, confessing his feelings to a prospective lover.
M.I then joins in to explain why he feels the way he does, showering his lover with a ton of compliments — some of which do come off as a bit misogynistic, especially coming from a rapper who consistently declares that he is a feminist.
For the video, which was directed by UAX Studio, Nonso Amadi serenades his lover through a television screen, while M.I takes his on a serene road trip. The video’s scenery is very fitting to the song, managing to make it even more enjoyable.
